BCM Flashing via MDARS

Solution from vxdiag.com:

  1. Confirm Device Compatibility:
Ensure that your VXDIAG VCX Nano is compatible with the MDARS software. Before using MDARS, remove any IDS VCI drivers and set the device to Passthru mode. MDARS is only compatible with VCM II or certified J2534 interfaces, such as VXDIAG VCX Nano Mazda J2534 or Bosch KTS560.

  2. Subscribe to MDARS:
Since MDARS offers full dealership-level vehicle diagnostics and reprogramming for Mazda 7th generation vehicles, you will need an MDARS subscription. MDARS uses the same license as IDS, with no additional cost. You can subscribe to the MDARS service via mazdaserviceinfo.com.

  3. Firmware Update:
Make sure your VXDIAG device firmware is up to date. You can update the firmware using VX Manager by following these steps:

    • Open VX Manager.
    • Go to "Device Manager."
    • Click "Information."
    • Click "Firmware."
    • Click "Upgrade" to update the firmware, ensuring the device stays connected during the process.
    • Once complete, the new firmware version will be displayed under "Device Information."
