This case demonstrates replacing the ECM/PCM in a HONDA vehicle using the VXDIAG device. The HDS system is used to synchronize the ECM/PCM with the Immobilizer Control Unit and Keyless Access System, ensuring the engine starts correctly.
I. Replace ECM/PCM [Video]
When the ECM/PCM is replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the ECM/PCM and the Immobilizer Control Unit-Receiver using the HDS (Honda Diagnostic System). For vehicles with Keyless Access System, the ECM/PCM must also be synchronized with the Keyless Access Control Unit; otherwise, the engine cannot be started.
Step-by-step ECM/PCM Replacement Process:
- From the System Selection Menu, click [IMMOBI].
- Click [Replace ECM/PCM].
- Press tick to continue.
(Obtain PCM-code from maris2/genpo/Distributor.) - Input PCM-code and press tick to continue.
(The PCM-code is calculated using the Acura Code Generator.) - Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch on.
- Turn the ignition switch off again.
(The registration of immobilizer codes into the Immobilizer unit has been completed.) - Press tick to continue.
(Check all keys to ensure each can start the engine.) - Click [NO] when asked if the vehicle is equipped with a Keyless Access Remote System.
- Registration is complete. Press tick to continue.

II. Cancel Open Web Page When HONDA HDS Starts:
In Honda Diagnostic System version 3.014.011, web pages open automatically during each operation, but you can disable this:
- Click [F12].
- Navigate to [Service Information Search Server URL].
- Select [Non-Network].
