1. Preparation Before Installing the Driver
Before installing the VCX BENZ driver, ensure the following steps are completed:
- XENTRY Diagnosis software is successfully installed.
- VX Manager is installed, and the VCX device is connected to your computer.
2. Driver Installation Steps
- Open the VX Manager tool, select [Vehicle Diagnostics] - BENZ, and then click [Install].
- The installation process will proceed automatically.

3. Synchronizing VCX Device Version with XENTRY
- To ensure proper operation, the XENTRY Diagnosis software version must match the VCX device version.
- If you manually install or update XENTRY software, and the versions don’t match, you will receive a warning message.

Solution:
- Reinstall the VCX BENZ driver to automatically sync the version information.
- Alternatively, use the XDVCIUpdate tool to manually select and match the version.

4. Common Issue: Device Unauthorized or Illegal Device
The following conditions may cause XENTRY versions 2021.09/12 and later to stop working:
- VCX device firmware has not been updated to version V1.9.0.0 or higher.
- The device is an illegal clone, and the firmware cannot be upgraded.
- The VCX device does not have valid BENZ authorization.
Result:
- If these conditions are not met, the XENTRY system will display an invalid serial number (e.g., 00000000), and the VCI device will be unavailable.
