Scanmatik 2 Pro, and VAS 5054A for Mercedes-Benz Xentry Passthru

As a long-time user of automotive diagnostic tools, I recently tested VXDIAG VCX SE, Scanmatik 2 Pro, and VAS 5054A to evaluate their performance in Xentry Passthru mode.

VXDIAG VCX SE for BENZ

Test Results:

  • VAS 5054A: Test time 7 minutes 16 seconds.
VAS 5054A is an older device that completes basic tasks but is slow, especially for more complex jobs.

  • Scanmatik 2 Pro: Test time 5 minutes 40 seconds.
Scanmatik 2 Pro is faster but has a complicated setup and isn’t compatible with older Xentry versions, making it less user-friendly.

  • VXDIAG VCX SE Benz: Test time 3 minutes 7 seconds.
VCX SE performed exceptionally well, with fast speeds and support for multiple brand licenses. It’s stable when switching between DTS and Xentry, especially when using a wired USB connection.

In real-world scenarios, VXDIAG VCX SE significantly improved efficiency. For example, I once reprogrammed a 2020 Mercedes E-Class in just 10 minutes. Using VAS 5054A would have taken twice as long. The only minor issue is manually switching between interfaces, but overall, it works smoothly.

Conclusion:

VXDIAG VCX SE is the top choice, offering speed and stability, ideal for handling complex tasks. In comparison, Scanmatik 2 Pro and VAS 5054A are more suited for basic diagnostics or older vehicles. If you need multi-brand support, VCX SE is the best option.
