Problem: One of our customers obtained the VXDIAG VCX FD for Ford device. He set up the VCX FD as a J2534 passthru to use with Techline Connect SPS2, but was unsuccessful in programming with SPS2.
Errors:
- E4492: Cyber Security Access Failure
- E4423: Unknown reprogramming error 5 at step 0
Solution: To use the VCX FD (or VCX SE/VCX NANO) with GM Techline Connect SPS2, you must have an activated GM license.
Without a GM license, you cannot use the VCX FD as a J2534 device for SPS2.
