Customer Issue:
The customer purchased a VXDIAG SE for BENZ device to diagnose a 2023 Mercedes EQE SUV (electric vehicle), but Xentry cannot connect, preventing normal data reading from the vehicle.
Solution:
For certain new Mercedes electric models, including the EQE SUV 2023, Mercedes has implemented an upgraded diagnostic system that requires an additional Zenzefi certificate. This certificate is a security authentication mechanism used by Mercedes. Without the correct Zenzefi certificate, Xentry will fail to connect to the vehicle, resulting in a diagnosis failure.
The VXDIAG device fully supports the 2023 Mercedes EQE SUV diagnosis—the issue can be resolved simply by obtaining and installing the Zenzefi certificate.
