Listen to the experiences and feedback of other Benz owners using VXDIAG:
1. Question: Can this be used for coding a 2015 W906 Sprinter?
Answer: You'll need to have a valid original online account to carry out coding tasks.
2. Question: Does it work with the latest Xentry OpenShell 12.2023? The description says it only supports vehicles up to 2025—is that still the case?
Answer: It’s compatible with the 09.2024 version, but it must be the XDOS version, not OpenShell. It can handle vehicles up to 2025, but for some newer models introduced after 2021, like the W223 and W167, you’ll need an original online Zenzefi certificate for online diagnostics.
3. Question: Will the VXDIAG VCX SE work with a 2004 W211 that has a 16-pin OBD2 port using Xentry? I see that the 2004 W211 is supported by Xentry.
Answer: Unfortunately, the VXDIAG SE doesn’t support the 2004 W211 model.
4. Question: Hey, can I add more licenses to the VCX SE Benz DoIP later on? Thanks.
Answer: Yes, you can easily add licenses for other car brands whenever you need.
5. Question: Hi there, do you have a 14-pin to OBD (16-pin) adapter for the Mercedes (VCX SE BENZ)?
Answer: Hi, sorry about that, but we don’t have that adapter. This device only works with Mercedes models from 2005 to 2021 via the OBD2 port.
6. Question: How do I find the password to connect via WiFi?
Answer: The WiFi password is simply 12345678. This is part of our connection process: https://vxdiag.com/pages/how-to-connect-devices
7. Question: Hi! Does the VXDIAG VCX SE for BENZ DoIP work with trucks?
Answer: Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! The VCX SE for Benz DoIP doesn’t work well with trucks. It only supports some protocols and models, so it’s not really recommended for that. It’s much better suited for cars from 2005 to 2021.
8. Question: How do I update the firmware for Xentry 2021.06?
Answer: Hi, You can update the firmware through VX Manager. Just download the latest VX Manager, install it, and then update the firmware and license. Don’t forget to also update the C6 driver in the diagnostic menu. This is our official firmware update procedure: https://vxdiag.com/pages/firmware-update
9. Question: Can I change the WiFi password and SSID?
Answer: Hi, unfortunately, you can’t change the WiFi password or SSID.
10. Question: Does this support the W206? It says up to 2024, but I don't see the W206 on the list, and it’s a 2021 model.
Answer: Hi there, for certain newer models like the W206, you’ll need an online certificate to use all features.
I bought the VXDIAG VCX SE BENZ and it's been rock solid! Especially with Xentry/DAS, it diagnoses Benz models from 2005 all the way to 2025 with ease. It handles DoIP on W222 and W223 perfectly. I used to struggle with SD C4 failing to connect to newer models, but VXDIAG nailed it.

Works really well with Mercedes model
I’ve had the device for half a year now and use it frequently. It‘s an excellent device that works really well with Mercedes models and supports online SCN coding, as long as I have the online account. The customer service is great, thank you. I‘ll consider adding licenses for other models in the future. By the way, can I confirm if my device can add licenses for other brands like BMW or VW?
I know the new devices come with fast Wi-Fi, but in this case, Im pretty old-schoolI always use a wired connection. If youve ever seen a control unit fail due to a Wi-Fi refresh process, that experience will be burned into your memory forever.
The original VCI is way too expensive (3,000 and up), and at least in my country, its hard to get. Some used or refurbished C6 units are more affordable (1,600 and up), but theyre still really pricey, and some dont come with a warranty or return option. The VCI C6 clone (around $450) is still a risk because returning it to China is nearly impossible, but at least youre not losing as much money if something goes wrong.
Heres my experience with VXDIAG so far:
Ive been running it with Xentry OpenShell version 09.2023 for about three months now, and compared to the C4, its more stable. I think if most users have the same needs as me, theyd eventually go with this device too.

VXDIAG se for benz and Scanmatik 2 Pro
As an auto repair shop owner, I recently bought and tested two J2534 Passthru devices: the VXDIAG VCX SE and the Scanmatik 2 Pro, to use with the Xentry Passthru software. Maybe my experience isnt the most objective, but heres my take:
Scanmatik 2 Pro:
The Scanmatik 2 Pro performs pretty well in some areas. It supports diagnostic software like DAS, Xentry, and Vediamo 4, but when it comes to older cars (especially those built before 2005), it doesnt always recognize them fully or sometimes not at all. For truck diagnostics, its not great either, especially with trucks that open through DASScanmatik 2 Pro completely fails there. When using newer versions of Xentry, the Scanmatik 2 Pro doesnt perform well with certain newer Mercedes models (like Xentry Cars 2024.09) and it even has compatibility issues with the SD Connect C4.
VXDIAG VCX SE:
On the other hand, I think the VXDIAG VCX SE is a more versatile device. It supports DoIP technology and the latest versions of Xentry software. Whether youre using Xentry Openshell or Passthru mode, the VXDIAG VCX SE runs smoothly. When diagnosing newer models (like the MB W167 2021), the VXDIAG VCX SE is really reliableit didnt have the login issues that I experienced with Scanmatik 2 Pro. In Passthru mode, the VXDIAG VCX SE worked perfectly, while the Scanmatik 2 Pro didnt work at all, and in some cases, Xentry Cars 2023.12 wouldnt even connect in Passthru mode.

VXDIAG SE FOR BENZ: My Experience
I've been using the VXDIAG SE FOR BENZ for a while now, mainly for Xentry diagnostics, and overall, it has been a great experience. Here's my detailed feedback:
Xentry Compatibility:
I'm using Xentry 09.2024, and everything runs smoothly. All functions work as expected, including automatic ignition status detection and voltage reading. It is very stable, and it works like the older C4 device.
Wireless Connectivity:
The Wi-Fi connection on this device is spot on. It works exactly as advertised, allowing wireless diagnostics without the hassle of cables. This feature is a huge convenience, especially when working in tight spaces or on the go.
Passthru Compatibility:
I have not specifically tested the Passthru functionality, but it comes with a Passthru license, so in theory, it should work with other software like ODIS. I have seen other users report success with wireless connections, and the device also supports adding licenses for other brands. I plan to get the VW license soon to make things even simpler.
Firmware Updates:
VXDIAG SE gets regular firmware updates through Allscanner software, and the process is really easy. You do not need to connect it to a car to update-just plug it into a USB port, and you're good to go. Very convenient.
Xentry Driver Issues:
One thing to note is that Allscanner has to release a new driver for every new version of Xentry. So, when a new version of Xentry comes out, you might need to wait for the driver update to be available. The software detects the version of Xentry you are using and loads the correct driver, which is nice, but you will have to wait for the update after a new release. So far, I have not had any major issues, and my Xentry 09.2024 works perfectly.
Customer Service:
I also want to mention that buying directly from the official website is a smart move. The customer service is top-notch..very professional and quick to respond, which is always a plus when dealing with technical tools.
Very impressed with the features available and the 2 way communication ability. Has really helped me to pinpoint several issues and the device has already paid for itself in terms of saving money on 3rd party diagnostic costs.
I previously spent a few hundred pounds on a Topdon Artidiag Pro, but it turned out there was no ECU coding function, and many of the reset/learning features didn't work on vehicles with push-button start. I ended up only getting a partial refund. That's when I turned to VXDIAG - this time I did my homework. My W215 is fully compatible, and it really gave me confidence.
Purchased the se 11 in 1. I have found this bit of kit invaluable. Easy to use. Saving time and money, with dealerships charging unrealistic money for diagnostic services this will pay for the initial outlay after a couple of uses.
Very impressed with the features available and the 2 way communication ability. Has really helped me to pinpoint several issues and the device has already paid for itself in terms of saving money on 3rd party diagnostic costs.

It can read data from my Mercedes without any issues
I have genuine Openport and Scanmatik devices, but they don't allow me to flash the instrument cluster. So I did a lot of research and came across the VXDIAG device. At least in the YouTube tutorials I watched, it always worked very well - and in fact, it really does. It can read data from my Mercedes without any issues.

Works very well with Xentry
I bought an Openport clone from AliExpress, but the voltage regulator burned out after just one week of use. Later, I purchased the BENZ VX800 from VXDIAG official, and it works very well with Xentry.
