License Error with VXDIAG Tech2Win and Techline Connect

Issue Description: The customer is unable to program RPOs in the BCM via Tech2Win using the VXDIAG VCX Nano GM and encounters a license error when attempting VATS relearn through Techline Connect. The customer discovered that Techline Connect installs its own version of Tech2Win, which is incompatible with the VCX Nano, resulting in the license error.

Our Solution:

Solution 1: To resolve this issue, we recommend that the customer wipe their tuning laptop and install VX Manager along with the associated GM software. After completing this, the customer should be able to use Tech2Win to program the BCM and perform other diagnostic functions.

After these steps, the customer can log into Techline Connect and complete all necessary updates, allowing them to add their vehicle's VIN and perform the VATS relearn. If the customer encounters any issues during this process, they can always reach out to our technical support team.

Optional Solution 2: We also suggest that the customer consider using a virtual machine, such as VirtualBox on Ubuntu Linux, to run multiple Windows installations. This setup allows the customer to have several Windows environments on the same machine and boot the appropriate version based on their task requirements. They can create a "clean" base installation and clone it for various licensing scenarios.

Additionally, it’s important to note that all GM interfaces present themselves as network interface devices. The licenses (essentially subscriptions) may expire based on the time kept in the VDI device's RTC. If the interface can sync its internal clock to the internet, it becomes harder to bypass the license expiration.
