Note: You can easily use both Ford IDS and Mazda IDS on one PC using VMware.
Setup Guide for Ford & Mazda IDS in VMware
- Open the DVD and install VMware-Player-6.0.6.exe.
- Install VMware Player.
- Copy VM files to the disk.
PS: Ensure the VM files are not set to "Read Only". - Open VMware Player and load VM.vmx.
- Configure VM memory and CPU performance.
- Run the VM.
- Connect the device USB to the VM.
- Open VCI Manager to check the device.
- Open the IDS software.
- Access IDS Device Manager.
- Verify the IDS Software Version.
- Perform Vehicle Specification Diagnosis.
- Diagnose PCM DTC.
- Use the PCM DataLogger for diagnostics.
- Connect to the network for Online ReProgram.
Setup IDS and VCMII on a Physical PC
If you need to install IDS on a physical machine, follow these two steps:
- Install the IDS software.
- Install VCMII-Driver-2.2.0.1505.exe from the DVD.
Note: Ford IDS and Mazda IDS cannot be installed on the same physical PC.
