Can ODIS offline version remove Component Protection?
The answer is No. Component Protection cannot be removed with the offline version of ODIS. It requires an online GeKo account login.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Enter the vehicle details in ODIS.

Step 2: Run a full diagnostics scan.

Step 3: After generating the test plans, switch back to the "Control modules" tab.

Step 4: Locate "Information Electronics" (005F), and right-click it.

Step 5: Select "Guided Functions" from the right-click menu.

Step 6: Click "Run" and allow the tool to complete the programming. Once finished, the Component Protection (CP) should be removed.

Important Notes:
- An online GeKo account is required to complete the process.
- The VXDIAG device is compatible with an online login account and can be used for this operation.
