The software works fine on Windows 10. It is recommended to use a freshly installed Windows 10 and install all system updates first, then follow the instructions. Some users have also tested it successfully on Windows 7.

How to install JLR SDD 165 software?
- First, run the VCredist all-in-one package.
- Install the base program JLR V165.
- Run OFFLINE1.exe patch.
- Run JLR SDD and log in using the following username and password (Username: y-cai1, Password: april2012).
- Exit SDD.
- Run OFFLINE2.exe patch.
- Restart the computer, then run SDD normally.
Note:
- The network icon may appear red, but downloads will still work. You may need to go to "Settings > Network" and enable network connection to get online downloads working.
- Do not let the program launch in Edge; use Internet Explorer only. If you encounter issues, search for "Disable IEtoEdgeBHO" to find the solution involving registry editing.
Special Tip:
If the VIN cannot be read automatically, you can manually input the VIN, and the system will still work.
