Remove Component Protection on VW, Audi, Skoda with VXDIAG ODIS Online

Can ODIS offline version remove Component Protection?

The answer is No. Component Protection cannot be removed with the offline version of ODIS. It requires an online GeKo account login.

 

Step-by-Step Guide:

 

Step 1: Enter the vehicle details in ODIS.

Step 2: Run a full diagnostics scan.

Step 3: After generating the test plans, switch back to the "Control modules" tab.

Step 4: Locate "Information Electronics" (005F), and right-click it.

You should see the ‘Information Electronics’ (005F) right click it


Step 5: Select "Guided Functions" from the right-click menu.

Step 6: Click "Run" and allow the tool to complete the programming. Once finished, the Component Protection (CP) should be removed.
