Ford vcx nano

I thought I write a full review on the vcx nano
I use the original vcm2 tool every day since the day it was released
The vcx nano tool is a great tool can't fault it in anyway it's much faster then the original vcm2 and works without any problems including programming in ids and fdrs please note fdrs does require and genuine license key and ford login account but I already have these so it's not been a problem also once installed ids 130 from vcx website was able to install latest version from ford website 131.02 and works without any problems
Definitely recommend this tool would say it's better than the original vcm2

VXDIAG VCX Ford to program a 2013 Ford Focus (2.0L gas)

I used the VXDIAG VCX Ford to program a 2013 Ford Focus (2.0L gas), and overall, it worked great. The device is fully compatible with the original IDS license, no issues at all.

This time, my main task was reprogramming the PCM after replacement and PATS key programming. I connected the device to the car via OBD, IDS read the vehicle info, and I went straight into module programming.

The system detected that the PCM was blank and asked me to enter the VIN before gathering vehicle data. Followed the prompts, turned the ignition on, and the PCM programming went smoothly. During the process, IDS required PATS security access, where I was able to erase and reprogram keys, including:

Programming new keys
Resetting BCM and PCM parameters
Resetting BCM and RFA parameters (for remote start)
IDS required at least two keys to start the car. I inserted the key into the steering column slot, programmed the first one successfully, then followed the same steps for the second key. Everything completed smoothly. Final check on the car and both keys worked perfectly.

Compared to VCM II, VXDIAG is much cheaper but offers the same functionality. If you need Ford IDS diagnostics and programming, buying from the VXDIAG official website is a solid choice.

This interface worked perfectly!!

This interface worked perfectly!! Make sure to do your homework and download the correct software and it will work. I used it with IDS software after a ECU replacement on a 2011 Ford Explorer. Was able to do a pararmeter reset on the PATS system and reflash the software on the ABS Module and HVAC systems. You will have to pay for the IDS but it does work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND but be sure to research what programs you need on your computer to use it.

Great reviews and bad reviews.

There are great reviews and bad reviews. The bad reviews read like folks that don't know how to install software and configure drivers properly. It's NOT plug and play. And I admit not everyone is cut out for the whole "take matters into your own hands" thing. (Forscan and/or FRDS) Lots of fellas with these Ford F-150 2021's and OTA issues have purchased that VCX Nano recently and fixed their trucks where the dealerships failed them. I had no problem with the VCX.

Use with Forscan and FJDS.

I then bought the VXDIAG VCX Nano (https://vxdiag.com/) to use with Forscan and FJDS.
For the Ford F150 2018 ABS module programming, I bought a two day license for FJDS to do it for $50. Basically do the PMI in FJDS to download the current config, unplug the old ABS module and then plug in the new one and transfer. Its pretty well layed out when doing it in FJDS. The connector for the ABS module is a bit tricky. You need to pull up on a gray plastic slider and then lift a handle on the module to release the connector. For FJDS, it needs to be a J2534 compatible device. In FJDS, I think it would possible to reprogram the module. You basically leave the old one plugged in, do the PMI in FJDS and it asks you to plug in the new one you are transferring do and copies over the installation.
