Answer: For the 2016 model, you can use the JLR SDD device, but for the 2017 model, you’ll need the DoIP device with Pathfinder software.

After downloading, install the new VX Manager, connect your device to your laptop, make sure the laptop is online, then open VX Manager, click “Firmware” to update, and then click “Update License” to renew.

9. Question: Bonjour, does the GM and Opel software come in French?

Answer: Hello! GDS2 software supports French and works with GM and Opel. However, Tech2win only supports English and does not work with Opel.

10. Question: I tested the product and noticed the license is only valid for 2 months. There was no information about this when I bought it. Is this a mistake?

Answer: The device comes with a lifetime license. You just need to renew it every 60 days by updating the firmware and license yourself.

The device runs really smoothly. The USB connection is rock solid, never drops, and the data transfer is super fast. I used it on my 2013 Range Rover, and the diagnostics and programming went like a breeze.

However, please note that if you require online programming capabilities, you will need to obtain the corresponding software online subscription account independently. Additionally, the diagnostic software included free with the device is an offline version. This version only supports basic diagnostics and some special functions, and cannot be used for online programming operations. These functional limitations are primarily due to the 'offline' nature of the software. If you wish to access advanced features, we recommend obtaining an online subscription account for the software separately. Our device is fully compatible with official online software.

Works good

It isnt per-say but it does in fact work and is very easy to use.

I would give it 5 stars if it were plug and play. It isnt per-say but it does in fact work and is very easy to use.

1. The tool can be used with the software provided or can be used with actual GMtsd tech2win subscription.

2. With the emulator provided you can do pretty much anything legit subscription can minus programming brand new modules to your car. This does not make the tool garbage...even if you have a gm technet subscription you still need a midi pass-through tool and this tool will do it.

3. As far as viruses and vpns go my technical opinion is that people's concerns are generally unjustified. If you have any experience with programming cards or say arduino boards there is nothing scary about installing some serial port drivers. Some manufactures use vpn for scan tools and module programming and the passthru tool has that capability.

Overall it saved me a few hundred dollars and dealing with the dealership, and it was kinda fun.

VCX Nano GM

Was a little finicky to get to work correctly. Can find a few online walk throughs to help with order of software install. Once installed works exactly as it should. Can do all Tech2 functions on my 2002 Trans-Am. Pleased.
